I recently read The Compound by S.A. Bodeen. It is 372 pages long. If you like books in the mystery genre than this is a good book for you. My favorite character is the main character, Eli, because he changes for the good throughout the book.
“Eli’s father built the compound to keep their family safe. Now they can’t get out. He won’t let them.” Elis father rushes his family into the compound. However, Eli’s twin brother and grandmother were left behind. At first he thinks that was an accident, but was it? When the family starts to run out of food and supplements are being made, Eli becomes suspicious. He was never really a people person.
