The Fallout

I recently finished reading The Fallout by S.A. Bodeen. This book is 352 pages long. This book is a sequel. The first book is called The Compound. If you enjoy books in the science fiction genre than this is a good book for you. My favorite character in this book is Eli because he sticks with his judgment through the whole book.

“Eli and his family can run, but they can’t hide.” After escaping the compound wear his dad trapped Eli’s family they are very wary of going anywhere and the can’t trust anyone. Eli’s father takes Eli, his brother, and sister to a private island that has a laboratory on it and he won’t let him. His mother and the rest of Eli’s family must come and lie with the dad. If not Eli will never see his mother again. Will Eli and his sibling’s escape or will they be trapped there forever? Read The Fallout by S.A. Bodeen to find out.

The Compound

I recently read The Compound  by S.A. Bodeen. It is 372 pages long. If you like books in the mystery genre than this is a good book for you. My favorite character is the main character, Eli, because he changes for the good throughout the book.

“Eli’s father built the compound to keep their family safe. Now they can’t get out. He won’t let them.” Elis father rushes his family into the compound. However, Eli’s twin brother and grandmother were left behind. At first he thinks that was an accident, but was it? When the family starts to run out of food and supplements are being made, Eli becomes suspicious. He was never really a people person. The False Prince

I recently read The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen. This book is 352 pages long. This book is part of a sequel the second book in the series is The Runaway King. I really enjoyed this book because there are a lot of plot twits in the story.

“Choose to lie…or chose to die.” Sage is one of the four orphans from orphanages across the kingdom that are chosen by a man that goes by the name of Conner. He is trying to find a boy that has the same features as the long lost king Jaron. Conner plans to bring them to the throne but rule for the boy, as a supervisor. The Runaway King

I recently finished reading The Runaway King by Jennifer Neilson. This book is 352 pages long. This book is part of a series. The first book is called The False Prince. If you like medieval books than this is a good book for you. I really enjoyed this book because when you think it is going to end the story picks right back up with a plot twist.

“Flee the throne…to keep the crown.” An assassination attempt has forced Jaron the flee the throne. With hidden spies working within his castle he must be careful who to trust. Jaron must change his identity and keep a low profile. However that is hard when he quickly feels the pressure to keep the kingdom safe piling up. The only way to save Carthya may be by deserting it. The Shadow Throne

I recently finished The Shadow Throne by Jennifer Nielsen. It is 336 pages long. This book is part of a series. The first book is called The False Prince. If you like medieval books than this a good book for you. I really enjoyed this book because it has a lot of plot twists throughout the story.

“Fight for the future…die for the throne.” King Vargen has kidnapped Imogen in a way to get King Jaron to give up Carthya and the throne. Jaron must venture in neighboring territories and depend on his pirate friends to be there when he needs them. Can Jaron escape the dangerous plot of King Vargen? Or will he lose everything he loves? The Magician’s Nephew

I recently finished The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis. This book is 221 pages long. C.S. Lewis also wrote The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. If you like books in the fantasy genre then this is a good book for you. I love the tone of the narrator because he is very calm, but the book is very action-packed.

“Narnia… where the woods are thick and cool, where Talking Beasts are called to life… a new world where an adventure begins.” Polly and Digory live in London and meet on a cold rainy summer. Digory’s uncle, Uncle Andrew, sends them hurtling into another world. To find their way home they must jump through pools in the forest. While adventuring through other worlds, Digory rings a bell that awakens a powerful witch. She uses them to get out of the world and back into their own. When the witch goes to London she causes chaos. Once they find a way to take the witch back they are suddenly thrown into a world that appears to be in the middle of no where. Bud, Not Buddy

The book I read was Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis. This book is 245 pages long. Curtis also won the John Newberry Medal. If you like books in the historical fiction genre this is a good book for you. I love how the author wrote in first-person because it gives you Bud’s perspective.

“Times may be hard, and ten- year old Bud may be a motherless boy on the run.” Bud has no mother, no brother or sisters, no food, and no home. On a quest to find the man in flyers his mother used to have, who Bud thinks is his mystery dad; Bud is thrown into an orphanage,meets a “vampire”, and joins a band. The Missing – Sent

I have just finished reading Sent by Margaret Peterson Haddix. This book is 308 pages long. I love this author because all of her books have a sequel. I think this is a good book for you if you like time-travel and suspense.

“I think it’s probably safe to say, given that when you should have landed, that you’re…um…” “Tell me!” “I think right now you’re the king of England.” Jonah and Chip are both missing children from history. They have been kidnapped from their proper time period. Soon they are sent back into time and end up in the fifteenth century. This is where Chip belongs. However in history Chip and his younger brother Alex are killed in battle, in real history. Will they get trapped in the fifteenth century forever? Read Sent by Margaret Peterson Haddix.

The Unwanteds and the Island of Graves

I have just finished reading The Unwanteds and the Island of Graves by Lisa McMann. This book is 515 pages long. Lisa McMann has written The Wake Trilogy. I loved this book because when you think one problem is over another one steps into its place!

Theodore Boone the Fugitive

I have just finished reading Theodore Boone and the Fugitive by John Grisham. This book is 250 pages long. John Grisham has written over 36 books. I love this book because it is about law and is in the mystery genre.

The man who had been accused of murdering his wife….”  While on a field to Washington D. C., Theodore Boone recognizes Pete Duffy, an accused murder that had jumped bail. With help from his uncle Ike, they try to bring Pete Duffy back to his hometown to stand trial. Theo runs into some dangerous situations along the way. Will the star witness tell what he’s seen?
